About EDSFAT

Eastbourne District Scout (Fellowship) First Aid Team is more commonly known as "EDSFAT" and is a Fellowship in its own right and operates under the administrative guidance of Eastbourne District. EDSFAT is a fellowship whose role and aim is to "Support Scouting Events" by providing First Aid Support to Scouting Events in the East and West Sussex area, as well as further afield for larger events.

EDSFAT also supports Scouting by:

EDSFAT is made up of adult members of the Scout & Guide Associations who are either Leaders or members of the Scout Fellowship. We operate as a Fellowship with a management Committee who are elected every year. Members have to regularly attend training sessions, these keep the members up to date with the specialist equipment and help them to build on previously gained skills.

To help extend the support we offer to Scouting, Explorer Scouts from the age of 14 may attend our training sessions and selected events. Under 18's are required to be a member of an Explorer Scout Unit and partake in events/training with the Fellowship as activities.

The History of EDSFAT

Long long ago............

The Remit and Constitution

As a Scout Fellowship EDSFAT is required to have a Remit and Constitution. At least once a year they are reviewed and possibly ammended to ensure that the work that EDSFAT undertakes is up to date and appropiate. The documents can be downloaded using the links below.

The Management Committee

EDSFAT is managed by a management committee that are elected by the EDSFAT fellowship members each year. This committee ensures that the day to day running of the fellowship is smooth, and that EDSFAT is able to improve and progress. The committee meets regularly and when necessary appoints sub committees to look after various aspects, such as equipment maintenance.
